Know your purpose. Live your life.
Dr Tim Williams studied medicine at the University of Sheffield and qualified as a GP in 2000. His interest in supporting people with persistent pain, has seen him develop a coaching mindset and approach, which has influenced his whole clinical and professional practice.
How I work
As a Time to Think coach and facilitator, my aim is to create environments for people to think brilliantly for themselves, whether they are working with me 1:1 or part of a supervision group or training programme. This encourages people to go further in their own thinking than they initially thought possible, bringing challenge to their own, hidden and limiting, assumptions about themselves or 'how the world works'.
All of the training programmes are designed with this in mind and, in some way, share how we can all provide this Thinking Environment™ for each other.
"Tim has helped me with several coaching issues and the safe, focused space that he provides has always allowed me to do deeper thinking than I can alone but also his insightful comments have also helped me significantly with difficult problems." Richard HEEYH
"Tim is friendly and extremely approachable. He allows space and encourages open thinking. The sessions are run at a pace that feel comfortable and he creates a very relaxed and open environment. I have really enjoyed my sessions as a result. Thank you."
Katie GP
"Tim provides a sanctuary away from the distractions of home and office, a safe place to discover who you really are and what you want and can achieve. He has a kind, honest, discerning character that will motivate and guide you to the next step.
Thanks so much Tim."

"Professional, empathic, patient, thought-provoking, encouraging, calm, positive, easy to talk to ... If you need support and guidance in working through difficulties in your life or in achieving a specific personal or professional goal then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tim."
Clare, Consultant Cardiologist
"I've been really inspired today, to think of how I can put it to use and learn to adapt it, not only in all areas of my clinical and leadership roles in the workplace, but in daily life too. Thank you Tim, very well facilitated.”
"My mission statement has given me the sense of purpose I needed to clarify and is guiding me. That has been a deeply meaningful outcome of our coaching time together. Thank you."
Catherine, Pharmacist and leadership fellow
"Group supervision feels like the thing I've been missing from my coaching. Such valuable learning from spending time thinking with other coaches."
Susan
"Brilliant use of my time and should be cascaded within the organisation.”
"This is a really excellent training for not just effective meetings but also working with teams in general and getting the most out of your team.”
"The session reinvigorated my love of the coaching process and Tim has an amazing ability to capture discussions succinctly."
Clare Littlejohn
"A really engaging and enjoyable day. Gave me the time to think and reflect on my presentation skills and practice utilising these in a safe environment with peers.”
"Tim is an excellent host, educator and facilitator. I went from having no clue about what an ALS is, to now feeling compelled to introduce them on a regular basis at work as I have first hand experience now of how useful they can be."
"Through our sessions I discovered my core values and my vision and I was able to set my mission in life. I learned away of thinking that is new to me.
I believe I can say that this coaching experience was a paradigm shift in my life .'
